Sustainable, FEmale Black-owned Businesses

This week I wanted to compile a list of my top five favorite businesses owned by amazing and inspiring black women. These businesses range from sustainable fashion to all-natural vaginal care but they all share one common thread; they are founded by black women leading the way in sustainable action in their industries.

  1. 1. Bold Swim

I first came across Bold Swim when I was looking for a sustainable, all size-inclusive swimmer brand for myself. When I found them, I loved them so much that I decided to reach out to Tiffany, their founder, to come on the podcast. You can hear Tiffany's story and more about sustainable swimwear in that episode here. Shop BOLD Swim here.

2. Our Lovely Goods

Our Lovely Goods was founded by Ebi and Emmanuel, a beautiful husband and wife duo who decided to start making consciously crafted candles and personal care products. They also sell the most thoughtfully curated collection of hand-made home goods. Shop Our Lovely Goods here.

3. Tree Fairfax

So these are the most beautiful leather purses ever. Each purse is hand-cut and sewn using high-quality genuine leather and sold at a ridiculously reasonable price. They are timeless in color and shape and each one is unique! Shop Tree Fairfax here.

4. Two Days Off Clothing

Not only is this brand enviably beautiful, but it was also created by a geologist and earth scientist on her days off from doing climate research. Need I say more? Two Days Off is a curated collection of effortlessly stylish pieces created from deadstock with the intent to make you feel like every day is the weekend while wearing them. Shop Two Days Off Clothing here.

5. The HoneyPot Company

Let's be honest, there are very few companies out there making sustainable and clean products for "down-there". Whether it's herbal suppositories , panty spray or tampons, the HoneyPot Company is the place to go for natural, sustainable vaginal care products. Shop the HoneyPot Company here.
